In order to establish the presence of food intolerances, a blood test is taken; the blood is then analysed to ascertain whether IgG antibodies to foods or additives are present. This test analyses 271 trigger food types individually. The laboratory analysis utilizes a completely natural process that occurs in the human body, the defence reaction of the immune system.

This blood test measures the levels of DAO (Diamine Oxydase) contained in the blood. DAO is the enzyme responsible for the degradation of histamine. Histamine plays a central role in allergic and pseudoallergic reactions and is produced both in the body and taken in with food in various quantities.
Many people suffer from gastro-intestinal disorders, migraine, headache, skin problems, cardiovascular complaints and asthma that are due to histamine intolerance.
It is often difficult to distinguish between an immediate IgE allergy (type 1), an IgG food allergy (type 3) or a histamine intolerance since the symptoms often are identical.
This DAO histamine intolerance test can be taken alongside the IgG Intolerance Test, as they detect different things. If this DAO test is taken within 1 month of the ImuPro300 test a reduced test price of $165.00 applies.
